Penny Cooper

Penny started her yoga practice 22 years ago when she lived in Australia, it was a life saver at the time. When she moved back to South Africa she completed her 200 hr Teacher Training at the Shala in 2012 and 4 years later 500hrs at Wellness Connection, where she since teaches students on the 200hr teacher training courses.

 

She believes Yoga is about recognising and nourishing yourself, working on the physical body as well as stillness of the mind. Yoga seeps into your bones, your heart and your soul and over time, with consistent practice, yoga can give you a new outlook on yourself and the world around you. Yoga is an incredible healing practice.

 

Her teaching style focuses on movement and breath helping students find alignment, go deeper into deeper postures, and balance the body by building strength and suppleness.

 

Yoga has given her so much and she loves guiding people thought their practice so they too can use yoga to benefit themselves.
