Gabrielle Fairhead

Born in South Africa and having lived in Switzerland and the UK, Gabrielle travelled as a professional ballet and contemporary dancer returning to Cape Town to dance full time with Cape Town City Ballet. Having always been inspired by the art of movement, she found her passion in yoga through the Power Yoga Company in London where she worked part time. That safe haven provided a taster of the beauty that yoga holds and she fell in love with yoga. She completed a Pilates instructors course with Trifocus Fitness Academy, and a 200hr YTT course at YogaLife.

Yoga is special as her practice of connecting body to mind to spirit, as well as having an incredibly calming effect on the nervous system. It is a pure form of moving meditation, a sensation that is cherished as a dancer. She is forever grateful for this physical as well as mental and spiritual benefits yoga has and she loves to be creative and find interesting ways for the body to move. Her style is a dance inspired vinyasa flow,  incorporating a balance of strength, technicality, flexibility woven with the embodiment of mindfulness and one’s own pure essence/spiritual self. To share this practice and energy is such a gift!
