Cat Kabira

Cat Kabira is an internationally renowned yoga instructor, energy healer, and teacher trainer with over 25 years of experience in various movement arts and healing modalities. Originally from the US, she was a founding teacher at The Yoga Barn in Ubud, Bali, where she was based for roughly 15 years before moving to Portugal. 

Background and Approach
* Healing Journey: Cat began her journey with yoga and meditation at age 18 as a way to heal from eating disorders, trauma, and addictive tendencies.
* Yoga Style: Her teaching has evolved from physically demanding styles to more alignment-based, subtle, and intuitive practices. She specializes in Hatha, Kundalini, Vinyasa, Anusara, Iyengar, Forrest, Yin, Nidra, and Restorative yoga.
* Energy Work: She is a master of subtle energy arts, incorporating craniosacral therapy, somatic practices, spiritual psychology, and shamanic work into her teachings.
* "Living Therapy": Cat developed "Living Therapy," a therapeutic approach focused on thriving in the present rather than just rehashing past trauma. 
Training and Schools
* Kabira Energy School: She runs her own school, Kabira Energy School, providing training for yoga teachers and energy healers.
* Credentials: She is an E-RYT500 (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher) and RYS-300 (Registered Yoga School).
