Meet Brittany Ferreira or ‘Britty’ as she likes to keep things sweet and simple.
Britty sees yoga as a state of being – the never-ending journey to one’s most authentic self. With a background of dance and movement training since the age of 3 in ballet, modern, contemporary, hip hop, ballroom, and movement workshops – discovering the philosophy and practice that is Yoga was an easy and instant love affair as embodying movement was so deeply rooted within her already.

Brittany shares : ‘The true beginning of my exploration of the Yoga lifestyle during hard lockdown of 2020 was truly the most transformative time whereby I spent a year and a half properly absorbing everything I could, using online sources and creating my own sequences, making it a daily routine which led to the most beautiful and indescribable change in my life. It led me to glimpse my True Self, the inner child and the life-long student within – since then I have cultivated such a passion and purpose within me to share and impact anyone and everyone through the dynamic ranges of motion explored emotionally, physically, and mentally with Yoga. From that moment I decided I wished to do my 200hr YTT and so had the privilege and opportunity to become qualified through Udaya Yoga Studio which taught me that – it’s not about having patience, but about what you do while you wait. It’s not about how it looks, but about how it feels. It’s not about staying motivated, but about how to stay disciplined. It’s not about giving and receiving love, but about being love – and these are the things I desire to share and create with a practice that is fluid, playful, creative and curious in a safe space with any being that decides to flow, grow and glow with me.’

Passions and favourite places
Any and all activities that get the heart rate pumping from hiking, skipping, ocean therapy and skateboarding/ Free flow, and playtime are a regular favorite of to keep her curious and childlike along with being creative whether it is learning a new skill or doing art. She is a firm believer that salt water is the cure to any and all problems, whether it is sweating, swimming in the ocean or having a good cry – one always feels better.
