About Christine
What started as a simple self practice has slowly unfolded into one of my greatest passions. Yoga is a physical and energetic journey of the mind, body and soul. As said by BKS Iyengar, “Yoga does not just change the way we see things, it transforms the person who sees.” Yoga is a deeply transformative practice that extends far beyond asana.
My teachings are influenced greatly by the sutra of Patanjali - Sthira Sukham Asanam, finding balance between “ease and effort”, alternating between conscious activation and relaxation of the body. The very nature of life is duality, ebb and flow, light and dark, control and surrender, push and pull. My sequencing incorporates flexibility and strength with dynamic movement, encouraging the equilibrium between control and surrender, sthira and sukham, whilst always leaving room to play and explore with intuitive movement.
Intuitive movement lies at the heart of both my practice and my teaching, connecting breath to body and using intentional movement to harmonise the mind, body and soul. Incorporating mindfulness into my teachings, I encourage conscious movement, listening to your inner nudges and using each posture as a means to get into the body rather than simply moving the body into a posture - becoming aware of how your body feels and where your mind is throughout the journey. Working with both the physical and the energetic body.
In the words of Sally Kempton, “The very heart of yoga practice is ‘abyhasa’ – steady effort in the direction you want to go.” Conscious and intentional movement, trusting, not rushing, the process, allowing yourself to slow down and be fully present in every given moment. That is where the magic happens.

With every passing day my curiosity and excitement to explore how the body moves grows, alongside my yoga practice I have a deepening passion for flexibility - maximum physical expression of the body done consciously and in harmony with a meditative state of mind - physically bending the body and thereby learning to ‘bend the mind’. In April 2021, after studying dance and performance for three years, I decided to pursue my passion for yoga and holistic wellness, plant-based living and the mind body spirit connection. I went on to complete my 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training at Reunion Yoga and Meditation in November 2021.
What makes yoga so special to me is the teachings that you leave with when you step off of your mat. Operating from your heart centre, and acting from a space of love and non-judgement, a space of self acceptance. And when you hold yourself in loving awareness and acceptance for all the dualities and complexities that make you who you are, you can show up in the world as a beautiful expression of authenticity and brilliant light and love.
